Quality Site Manager – Residential Construction (Permanent role)

Your new employer, one of the key players for social housing in London have a property portfolio that’s showing no signs of slowing down with exciting new partnerships and construction projects. This is a real good opportunity for a Quality Manager to come in, set the standard on site with external contractors, working closely with different Clerk of Works to ensure the builds can be signed off on time and to the highest standard.
Day to day you will be visiting sites in North West London, managing your own diary accordingly with a hybrid model (although we would like you to head into office on a Thursday). These projects will be a mix of new builds and some regeneration works, and you’ll typically step in around 6 months from the end of expected project completion. Remit is to ensure snagging lists are completed, site remains compliant and work is being completed to agreed SLA’s.
This role will have some real positive impact, not only keeping your communities housing safe and compliant, but overall nicer places to live and raise families.
Whether your background is Clerk of Works, Site Manager or a Surveyor, we’re looking to speak with someone who can walk onto a residential site confidently, with good experience of new builds alongside a proactive approach to driving quality across the board. Residential construction experience is essential, but we are open minded as to exactly what that experience looks like. You need to know the common sense difference between good and bad, right and wrong and be able to walk onto a site and know when something looks right and then educate the contractors as to what needs to be done to remedy.
You’ll need your own car for this one. Business mileage will be paid, and same with public transport if that is the better option occasionally. There are around 19 different project sites live at the moment with varying number of units per site. Most of the sites consist of MDU’s and 90% of the projects will be residential new build. Majority of work is inside the M25 with 1-2 projects just outside in Essex.
