Job description
Manpower Cambridge are currently recruiting for a Production Support Office for our exciting manufacturing client based in Stowmarket, easily commutable from the A14, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Diss & Sudbury.
Job Title: Production Support Officer
Location: Stowmarket
Salary: £15 p/h
Hours: Mon - Fri, from 08:00-16:00, working 37.5 hours per week.
Availability: Immediate start date
Main Responsibilities
- Be present at the morning meeting and prepare notes summarising key points discussed.
- Generate the weekly reports for the service calls every Monday and provide the monthly reports whenever needed by the Production Manager or Operations Manager.
- Ensure that the cost-savings reports are regularly updated.
- Make sure to regularly update the operators and supervisor's hours on the Interflex system and keep the timesheet up to date in the control room.
- Remember to update and send the cover sheets to the production planner two weeks before production.
- Managing e-Site documents on e-Manual by periodically reviewing them.
- Reviewing and updating SOPs, Risk assessments, and LOTOs, and coordinating with the Production Manager to confirm the modifications.
- Creating new SOPs and LOTOs as needed.
- Check Intelex reports for operator training and communicate with operators and supervisors for training completion.
- Keeping training folders current and updating the appropriate training matrix.
Keeping track of and organising paperwork for operator's training. - Labels for pipework and other non-production tasks on the Lighthouse printer.
Print handover sheets until the digital handover is live. - Posters and newsletters will be placed in various locations throughout the plant.
- Scanning manufacturing worksheets and updating creation dates in R12.
- Recording FRCs and certifying batches in R12 while maintaining an updated KANBAN system.
- Purchase necessary stationery and hardware for the production team according to the provided list.
- Ensuring that the plant effluent meets the standards set by the Environment Agency and Anglian Water.
- Ensure to frequently inspect consumables and general items utilised on E Site
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping standards on E-site and contribute to site BPI enhancements.
The applicant should have:
- A background in chemical manufacturing and knowledge of COMAH.
- Strong communication skills required to interact with daily contacts such as Production Manager, Procurement, and Logistics groups.
- Experience working independently; self-driven; strong work ethic and value organisation
- Proficient in computer skills Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as experience with plant services process control computer systems.
- Strong numerical and verbal skills, excellent organisation and coordination abilities.
- Must be able to follow instructions, record data, work under pressure, set priorities, coordinate team members, and participate in safety programmes. Ensure top-notch housekeeping and operational standards.
