Job Title: Maths Curriculum Leader
Location: Bankside School, Worcester
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30-16:00
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

Due to growth in service, we are seeking an exceptional candidate who is inspirational, passionate and dedicated to raising student achievement through the delivery of a personalised and engaging learning experiences. We are looking for a creative Head of Maths who has the skills to push standards to improve and give students the tools to achieve their best in Maths, by preparing and delivering well-structured, inclusive lessons.
About the role
To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Head of School. Improve the quality of pupils’ learning in Maths and contribute to the development and / or implementation of Maths policy and procedure. Have lead responsibility for Maths across the school and college, develop plans which identify clear targets and success criteria for its development and / or maintenance. Teach a range of subjects as necessary to ensure the effective delivery of the school’s curriculum. Work may sometimes be undertaken outside the main teaching area - this may include off site locations including college settings.
In consultation with the Head of School undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum and share the school’s responsibility to support and promote the learning, personal development and well-being of all students.

Bankside School is an exciting new venture that opened September 2023 near Hanley Castle, Worcester. Our new specialist school will cater for young people aged 11-18 years old with Autism, Complex needs and learning disabilities and has the capacity for c60 students.
For over 16 years, Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
