Job description

Located in Redbridge, this unique Special School prides itself on providing outstanding educational opportunities for students with special educational needs (SEN). The school are looking for a full-time teacher to join their expert team starting as soon as possible.

Whilst this is secondary based role, teaching Year 7 to 11, learning is heavily focused on the KS2 curriculum so primary school teachers are encouraged to apply.

Students attending this school have SEMH needs and can sometimes pose some challenging behaviours.

Unqualified teachers will be considered providing relevant teaching experience.

In this exciting role, you will:

• work part of a specialist team to lead classes of around 8 children in all aspects of the curriculum
• prepare and deliver inspirational and creative lessons
• deliver highly effective teaching, learning and assessment and make a broader positive contribution to school life
• promote a love of learning and enable pupils to make progress towards positive academic and EHCP outcomes

We'd love to hear from you if:

• you do not need QTS for this role but do need a degree
• you are unqualified but have a experience working as a teacher
• you are passionate about helping children and young people reach their full potential
• you have experience working with SEN learners between the ages of 12 -16
• you are able to think creatively and engage positively with learners with a broad range of complex needs
