Job description
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, committed, and dynamic teacher of Classics to teach Latin and Classical Civilisation from September 2024. Classics is a rapidly growing subject with Latin and Classical Civilisation now taught across each key stage in the senior school but with the benefit of typically smaller classes, allowing each student to thrive.
This is an exciting opportunity to join growing subject areas in the senior school. The successful applicant will contribute towards the teaching and promotion of Classics across the school. For the right candidate there is the scope to bring Classics into KS2 classrooms, forging close links to KS3 and further growing the subject at the school.
We believe strongly in a ‘Classics for all’ approach and hope to instil in our students a love of the subject alongside building critical thinking, self-belief, and intellectual curiosity.
The role could suit an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT or UQT to whom excellent support will be given. We’re a happy, well-resourced school in an outstanding setting.
