R&D Team Lead

Salary & Benefits: £70k - £80k per year + Excellent Benefits

Location & Hybrid: Southampton, 4 days per week onsite (with flexible working on an ad hoc basis).

As the R&D Team Lead, you’ll take charge of electronics and software design for our state-of-the-art laser products. Manage and coordinate the electronics team within the client’s R&D department, driving innovation and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Lead electronics development for laser products throughout their lifecycle.
• Provide leadership and line management for the electronics engineers.
• Direct product development activities ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with the Systems Integration Group to enhance global practices.
• Design, develop, and test electronic work packages.
• Drive continuous improvement processes.

Ideal Candidate Experience:

• Proficient in leading electronics product development.
• Skilled mentor with proven experience in embedded systems applications.
• Expertise in complex electronic development across the product development lifecycle.
• Desirable: Previous experience with laser systems.
