Role

We are seeking 3 Development Workers to join our team. You will be joining an exciting and dynamic team withinIncludem with a specific focus on supporting the implementation of The Promise which will see you work acrossScotland.

You will help support local and national organisations to ensure they embed lived experience and participation at itscore. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team to identify gaps in service provision, work with partnersto identify pilots and support the delivery and evaluation of these pilots. You will engage with keystakeholders including infants, children, young people and their families to understand the barriers they mayindividually and collectively face and to identify supports enabling them to experience success in their localcommunity and move to a preventative model. You will also help and support organisations to explore what theyneed to do differently to ensure the promise is kept.

You will be supported and guided every step of the way to ensure you can carry out your role to the best of yourability. Training and development opportunities will be provided.

The 'Young Start Progressions' programme at 'The Pavilion' will be a dynamic initiative led entirelyby young people, supported by staff and volunteers and by existing and new partnership opportunities. Ourthree-pronged approach aims to empower young individuals across various stages of their development:

Primary/Secondary Transitions Programme: We will provide support for P7, S1, and S2 young people as they transitionfrom primary to secondary school, fostering empowerment, confidence, and improved self-esteem in a non-schoolenvironment.

Volunteer Mentoring Programme: Expanding on our successful volunteering mentoring initiative, we offer diverseopportunities for young volunteers, connecting them with roles both within Pavilion and through our network ofschool partnerships and community collaborations.

Attainment Programme: Focused on enhancing pathways for Junior and Senior Club participants, we integrate life skillsdevelopment seamlessly into existing activities. From goal-setting exercises, certificated activity programmesto accredited learning and further training opportunities.

Aim of the Attainment Programme:

The overall aim of the Attainment Programme is to deliver a programme of services to target and support young peoplein the Easterhouse area of Glasgow by helping them to attain a recognised qualification and gain recognition forthe learning and development they have achieved by taking part in our programmes.

Job Role:

We are seeking to appoint an Attainment Worker to help each participant is matched to an award and has a personaldevelopment plan and tracked learner journey.

Working across our range of programmes the Attainment Worker will work with young people identifying the best fit forthe specific awards and the individual activities. The successful candidate will work alongside staff to collateevidence and ensure that electronic portfolios are kept up to date with all evidence captured.

The Attainment Worker will assist staff, volunteers and young people to help ensure targets are achieved andprogression pathways created for young people, supporting them to overcome barriers to participation andlearning.

The Pavillion is a youth organisation that provides a safe and fun environment for children and young people in theEasterhouse area of Glasgow. We provide activities and life skills for the young people including sports, artsand crafts, drama workshops, volunteering opportunities, girls/boys issue based groupwork sessions, drug andalcohol workshops, mental health groupwork sessions, cooking and healthy living. We help reduce social isolationin the community and promote positive friendships and social skills in our young attendees. Our aim is tocreate, support and inspire the young people by providing them with opportunities, skills and activities.

We are a fast-paced and progressive organisation that aims to support children, young people, their families and thewider local community through the provision of positive activities and opportunities.

The Volunteer Development Worker plays a pivotal role in delivering a programme of volunteering opportunities foryoung people involved in our clubs and programmes.

Their primary focus is to help participants attain recognized qualifications through volunteering and celebrate theirachievements while creating pathways for their progression.

The Volunteer Development Worker will be a dynamic and confident people person, able to sensitively train and supportvolunteers throughout their journey with The Pavillion, as well as being able to recruit new volunteers and newvolunteering opportunities.

We are seeking to appoint a Volunteer development worker for our Progressions programme. The Volunteer developmentworker will be able to train and support volunteers throughout their journey at The Pavillion, as well as beingable to find, recruit and induct new volunteers as the charity continues to expand. The volunteer developmentworker will also seek volunteering opportunities outwith The Pavillion for volunteers wishing to expand theirskill set.

The volunteer development worker will recruit and train volunteers and provide ongoing support, supervision andtraining. They will raise awareness and promote volunteering opportunities within The Pavillion and partneragencies.

We are seeking a Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery of this project as well as managing the Attainment Worker& Volunteer Development Worker posts attached to this project.

Being creative, innovative and ideas driven, to support delivery of multiple programmes of activity and be able toforge strong positive relationships with partners are key attributes for this post. The postholder will beresponsible for taking a coordinated approach to implementing activities with young people that address the keyidentified issues affecting them, ensuring their needs are addressed and pathways created that help them tosucceed.

The postholder should have experience working with a range of age groups and are able to demonstrate experience intaking a youth-led approach to service delivery.
