Job Description
- Lead and manage the finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and financial regulations
- Oversee all aspects of budgeting, financial forecasting, and financial analysis
- Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
- Participate in strategic planning and decision making at the senior management level
- Manage the preparation of the institution's budget
- Communicate with and present to the Board of Trustees on the institution's financial performance
- Engage with external auditors and manage the audit process
The Successful Applicant
A successful Head of Finance should have:
- A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a similar role within the not-for-profit or education sector
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Superior analytical skills and a strategic mindset
