To assist in providing quality care, education and play opportunities for children aged 0-12 years, providing equal opportunities. .
Responsibilities
- To participate as a member of a team of adults working together to create an environment which promotes children's development and learning.
- To be a key person for a group of children, to observe and assess their learning, plan for their individual needs and be responsible for making contributions to records of children's development.
- To foster children's growth, self-esteem and independence.
- To contribute to the planning and preparation of activities.
- To contribute to observations and records of children's development.
- To assist in communicating effectively with parents/carers of children in the Day Nursery/Out of School Club.
- To share responsibility for feeding children, changing their nappies or clothes and taking them to the toilet as necessary.
- To share responsibility for cleaning and disinfecting at the end of each day.
- To work according to the centre's policy for equality of opportunity, promoting positive behaviour and attitudes generally and particularly towards people in non-stereotypical gender roles, other cultures and with disabilities.
- To be aware of the centre's Child Protection Policy and alert to signs that a child might be at risk.
- To assist in ensuring compliance with Health & Safety Hygiene standards.
- To have a commitment to personal professional development. To prepare for and receive supervision, using it as a tool for development. To attend in-service training as agreed with the Manager.
- To undertake such other duties as required by Manager.

The Employer is: GIGGLES & WIGGLES CHILDCARE LTD.
Salary: 16/17 £5.28, 18/20 £7.49, 21/22 £10.18, 23/24 £10.42 per hour.
Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
