The Performance School at Impington is nationally renowned, supporting students to pursue careers in the Arts and achieving truly outstanding results at GCSE, A Level, IB and BTEC.

IVC is looking for a qualified teacher with experience of teaching in a UK mainstream secondary school.  You will provide a comprehensive education to KS3, KS4 and KS5 students including the International Baccalaureate and BTEC Programmes in our international Sixth Form and make a significant contribution to the extra-curricular activities which take place within the Faculty.

Part time candidates are very welcome, and well supported, as we were one of the original eight schools in the UK to be a Flexible Working Ambassador School.

We would, however, particularly welcome applications from teachers with at least two or three years’ experience who are looking for a new challenge and for the support and coaching needed to prepare for middle and senior leadership roles. For the right candidate we can offer:

·        A £3000 annual recruitment and retention allowance on top of your generous salary

·        A reduced teaching load for all staff (maximum 40 hours per fortnight, the equivalent of at least one free period every day )

·        One hour a week of subject CPD timetabled into the College day as part of your timetabled allocation, avoiding weekly twilight sessions

·        A minimum of one paid ‘family day’ per year to use as you choose, with the possibility of term time leave by negotiation, and the chance to work from home by agreement

·        £1000 bursary for personal CPD, including funding for a Masters qualification (or equivalent)

·        A genuine commitment to wellbeing, with a strong track record in supporting positive mental health and high levels of staff retention and promotion (twice awarded the Carnegie Gold Medal)

·        Subsidised access to our on-site Sports Centre and swimming pool, available for use throughout the day, as well as regular staff social events, discounted food and free coffee/tea
