Industry Manager - Steel (m/f/d)

to join our Industry Solutions team.

 

The candidate will be responsible for analyzing the industry and its USP, identifying challenges and future developments, and designing innovative solutions to meet the needs of our existing and potential clients. They will work closely with the Sales team and the Solution Development team to propose new solutions, integrating them into the Gruber Logistics world through cooperation with different units and branches.

 

Responsibilities:

• Analyze the logistics industry, identify USPs, challenges, and future developments, and design innovative solutions with a particular focus on the industry's evolution.
• Work with the Sales team to approach new or existing clients in this industry and propose solutions to meet their needs.
• Develop and execute industry strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Build a network of subsidiaries and partners to offer the designed services on a wider scale.
• Integrate new activities and services into Gruber Logistics through collaboration with different units and branches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations to develop and implement industry plans.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable pricing, terms, and product selection.
• Monitor industry performance and adjust strategies as needed to achieve growth and profitability targets.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive landscape.
• Manage and mentor junior Industry management team members.
  
   

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in the global Supply chain management market with focus on the steel industry
• Strategic competence and long-term vision with regard to future developments and challenges in this sector
• Positive appearance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Persistence and ability to negotiate effectively
• Strong analytical thinking skills and ability to manage complex, challenging situations
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Fluent in English. German and/or Italian would be desirable but are not essential
• Willingness to travel abroad
