Job Description

AECOM is seeking a highly motivated Environmental Geologist. The Candidate will join the Environment Team that provides services on large-scale, environmental and civil engineering projects. Our teams work on complex remediation projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. The successful candidate will develop a wide range of skills, with significant training and career possibilities and could expect to be involved in the following activities:

• Supervision of field activities (surveys and tests, investigations, remediation works, etc.);
• Monitoring and sampling of the environmental matrices (soil, groundwater, soil gas, etc.) adopting national and international recognized standards (US-EPA, ASTM, etc.);
• Collection of geological, hydrogeological and environmental data;
• Support on monitoring and maintenance of remediation systems and activities GIS management of environmental data;
• Elaboration and development of collected data with models (i.e. hydrogeological, hydraulic);
• Processing and interpretation of data collected on site;
• Preparation, revision and updating of environmental technical reports;
• Contribute to design in remediation and environmental safety measures;
• Coordination of external collaborators and subcontractors;
• Support the PM and Project Team in the development of environmental projects;
• Apply and encourage a high level of Health and Safety awareness and Quality management.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years’ experience in consulting company and some fieldwork experience;
• Fluency in Italian and English;
• Interest in geotechnical, remediation and environmental projects;
• Motivation, initiative and organizational skills to work effectively in a busy multi-disciplinary environment;
• Ability to work under pressure;
• Flexibility to promptly respond to the changing demands of projects and programs;
• Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally ability to produce and understand written reports without consistent revisions;
• Ability to maintain good records of site-based activities;
• Strong attention to details;
• Flexibility and willingness to travel nationally to conduct site visits;
• Strong personal initiative and goal oriented;
• Good understanding of Microsoft office suite, in particular Excel;
• Licensed to drive a vehicle in ITA (essential).

PREFERRED

QUALIFICATIONS

: Master's Degree in Geological Sciences
