Job description
Title Senior Advisor (HIPAA)
Location Remote
Provides expert advice on policy implications administrative regulations compliance and enforcement mechanisms related to HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and Cybersecurity initiatives in support of mission objectives.
Completes tasks aligned with the mission program objectives and strategic goals as directed.
Offers expert consultation through research briefings and written materials focused on HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and Cybersecurity facilitating regulatory impact analysis (RIA) for the Director and Deputy Directors.
Submits recommendations regarding HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and Cybersecurity initiatives leveraging mission efforts program objectives and strategic aims for review by the Director and Deputy Directors.
Suggests improvements to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of HIPAA and Cybersecurity efforts concentrating on streamlining project execution activities and mission alignment. Collaborates with leadership to evaluate program effectiveness identify areas of overlap and propose suggestions for improvement or consolidation of workstreams.
Conducts outreach activities to raise awareness of HIPAA and Cybersecurity initiatives engaging with stakeholders managing media relations and leading special initiatives to amplify the impact of mission pursuits program goals and strategic objectives.
Education: Requires a minimum of a masters degree from an accredited university specializing in Cybersecurity Computer Science Information Sciences or related fields along with four years of specialized experience in Cybersecurity at a level equivalent to GS15 in the Federal Government. Preference will be given to candidates holding relevant industry certifications such as CISSP CISM CIPP/CIPT/CIPT.
Combination of Education and Experience: Qualification through a combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience should be equivalent to four years of specialized expertise at the GS15 level in the Federal Government.
