Who You Are:

We're seeking a passionate Health Coach to provide personalized coaching sessions to members in our weight loss program. Using motivational interviewing skills, you'll develop individualized plans and offer guidance, education, and support to empower members on their journey to optimal health.This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals. Position: Regional Health Coach
Reports to: Clinician Manager
Location: Piedmont, Walnut Creek and Pleasanton
Classification: Regular, Full-Time,Non-Exempt (25+ hours a week)

This position requires flexibilityto support all clinics within the East Bay region and the ability to cover one Saturday a month at our Walnut Creek clinic.

️DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Personalized Coaching: Conduct weekly one-on-one coaching sessions with participants enrolled in JumpstartMD's weight loss program. Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to establish rapport and effectively communicate, guide, educate, and support members in achieving their health and wellness goals.

• Develop Individualized Program Plans: Conduct health screenings and collaborate with members to develop personalized program plans tailored to their specific needs, including dietary restrictions, health concerns, and overall wellness objectives.

• Monitor Progress and Modify Plans: Regularly follow up with members to track progress and results, document all interactions, and make necessary modifications to program plans to ensure continued success.

• Assist in BHRT Program Services: Participate in JumpstartMD's bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) program under the supervision of a licensed clinician. Perform various medical procedures such as EKGs, blood pressure checks, in-body tests, full body composition analyses, autoclaving, provision of sterile instruments, vitamin and pellet injections, and phlebotomy.

• Manage Inquiries and Appointments: Handle initial member inquiries and phone calls, schedule appointments, send reminders, and provide follow-up support to ensure a seamless member experience.

• Coordinate Lab Work and Reviews: Assess appropriate labs before consultations, notify clinicians for phone follow-ups on lab reviews, and accurately document lab results in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

• Maintain EMR and Clinic Operations: Perform EMR charting under clinician supervision, ensure accurate record-keeping of medication details, assist with medication refill requests, and contribute to daily clinic operations, including opening and closing procedures and maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• A high school diploma is a must, but having a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or a related field would make it even more exciting!
• Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? Great! We're seeking someone with 1-2 years of experience, ideally in a medical or clinical office setting.
• Got a passion for health, fitness, and nutrition? Awesome! We'd love to hear about your 1-2 years of professional experience in these areas.
• If you have certifications in Health Coaching and CPR, you're already ahead of the game!
• Medical assistingwould be a fantastic bonus!
• Top-notch communication skills? Check!
• Experience with MS Office 365? Even better! Bonus points if you're familiar with EMR/EHR systems and scheduling/billing platforms.
