As an Android Developer you have at least 5 years of experience in developing consumer facing mobile applications. In this role as an Android developer you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of domestically built or localized features / functionality within a globally developed mobile application.

Your primary focus will be the development and implementation of Android related components and their integration with backend services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers globally across different layers including CX/UX Fontend and Backend. Therefore a commitment to collaborative problem solving sophisticated design and the creation of quality products is essential.



Core Responsibilities:

• Design and build localized functionality into the clients On Call application for the Android platform.

• Ensure the performance quality and responsiveness of application features
• Collaborate with a local team to define design and ship new features
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality organization and automatization
• Participate in a global development team representing the North American market

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Proficient with Java JavaScript Android Development Studio etc.

• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services

• Knowledge of other web technologies and UI/UX standards

• Understanding of design principles and interface guidelines

• Experience with performance and memory tuning with tools

• Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications

• Knack for benchmarking and optimization

• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools

• Familiarity with continuous integration

• Design and build applications for the Android platform

Additional Skills

• Coding Languages: CSS HTML5 Java JavaScript Python

• Operational Tools: GIT/SVN Jira Confluence etc.

Education:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical/Electronic Engineering Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent.
Experience: Minimum 5 years
