Job description
Humangest, on behalf of Arsenale Group, a company operating in the luxury hospitality industry, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to work in a prestigious 5 stars hotel located in the heart of Rome.
Main Responsibilities:
● Developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with the company's luxury standards and budgetary requirements
● Establishing relationships and partnership with high-quality suppliers, vendors, and distributors
● Evaluating supplier performance and conducting regular vendor assessments to ensure adherence to quality standards and service level agreements
● Monitoring market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments to stay informed of changes that may impact purchasing decisions
● Collaborating constantly with department heads to understand and pre-empt their procurement needs and requirements, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services
● Managing the procurement process from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations
● Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and vendor agreements, utilizing procurement software and tools as necessary
● Implementing inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels, minimize waste and reduce costs
● Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to purchasing and procurement activities
Requirements:
● Experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management within the luxury hospitality industry
● Excellent level of English and Italian
● Proficiency in procurement software, Microsoft Office Suite, and inventory management systems
● Knowledge of industry regulations, compliance standards, and best practices in procurement and purchasing
● Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Hospitality Management is a plus
● Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g. CSCP and CPSM) is a plus
● Legal right to work in Italy is mandatory.
