Job Title: DB2 Database Administrator
Location: Position is 100% remote might need to go onsite once a quarter to Maryland
Clearance Required: Must be willing to go through an IRS MBI please dig in about financial history anything that would disqualify them from a financial aspect
Must Have Skills: Extensive Db2 experience on the mainframe side

OVERVIEW:
In search of a Database Management Specialist to join our dedicated and high performing team on a longterm engagement at the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). You will be part of the team responsible for the ongoing support and implementation of new changes to applications and databases used in the electronic authoring and publishing of forms instructions and publications. In this role you will interface with users to gather and clarify requirements develop test and deploy new code for new project as required. Support duties may include entering and reviewing data within the database ensuring user data integrity maintaining database support tools database tables and dictionaries recovery and backup procedures and making recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements. Additionally you will provide design guidance as well as provide help support the user community.
Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelors degree and 4 or more relevant experience. Additional years of experience in lieu of degree may be considered.
