We are looking for a R&D Design Engineer to join in Research and Development - Special Circuit Breaker Team based in Dalmine (IT) developing mechanical and electrical design for advanced Medium Voltage circuit in our Electrification business.
This position reports to
R&D Team Lead
Your responsibilities
- Realize the mechanical/electrical design and all technical details of the circuit breaker.
- Development of 3D/2D parts integrating all the required accessories including the controller and actuation parts.
- Take care of the design optimization by identification of architectural solutions, exploiting the highest integration with the rest of product (mechanical part, control and sensors).
- Follow the prototype development, implementing the executive drawings, the all-project documentation (from pre-feasibility studies to detail design documents).
- Carry out preliminary tests for design pre-validation, analyze the quality and reliability of the product, prototype debug and integration with the switchgear and the control system feature working closely in a strongly multidisciplinary team.
- Draw up the technical documentation required for production of the Circuit Breaker and carry out activities to support and maintain the products when requested.
- Work closely with other colleagues, functions proactive and motivated.
- Open to learn and contribute to the team success.
Your background
- Master Degree in Mechanics/Electrical Engineering.
- More than 2 year of experience in design, drawings 3D/2D of industrial applications. Experience in use of Solid works. Experience creating technical dossier, documents and management of versioning for a full tracking of the Circuit Breaker BOM and it's industrialization.
- Interest in prototype assembly, integration and tests to develop functionality and performances. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and tolerances chain is a plus as well for the awareness of the MV test and standards to comply.
- Proactivity, ability to create innovation, negotiation and networking skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal Italian and good English. Communication skills.
- Positive spirit, pro activity, team working, speediness, problem solving.
