Associate Project Manager

Leads the execution of small projects with low complexity and ensures that all related activities are executed in accordance with company procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations and standards, contract specifications, quality standards, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, cost/profitability targets, and scheduling targets. Includes Project Managers assigned to small projects in the service business.

Your responsibilities
- Leads the project team, motivates and monitors internal and external resources and provides performance feedback for the resources.
- Ensures compliance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures, relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
- Controls project progress and financials and manages project risk.
- Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer.
- Ensures that the project applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, supports Procurement and Logistics and procures required services, materials, and equipment for the project.
- Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ensures the project follows and complies with company HSE policies.
- Creates project HSE plans and ensures that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders.
- Applies immediate recovery actions for schedule delays and cost overruns.
- Defines and applies basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively
- Tracks progress and updates schedules regularly and escalates deviations according to local guidelines.
- Identifies, plans and keeps track of all deliverables required by the contractual scope of work.
Your background
- Technical Diploma or Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge in the field of electrotechnology.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
- Attitude to problem solving, teamwork and analysis skills.
