Data analytics is a dedicated team of data enthusiasts (10+) tasked to provide the deep insights to help Mollie grow. Together with the team you’ll be helping us realise our mission of enabling data driven decision making within cross-functional teams. We are looking for one more team member to complement our discussions around the best way to use analytics to drive the business.
What You'll Be Doing - Analytics: uncover business insights which help your domain reach its objectives. This means working closely with our domain experts, data scientists and (analytics) engineers.
- Metric definition and governance: partner with fellow analysts and business stakeholders to help shape how we measure performance, taking care to ensure that everyone is on the same page.
- Data modelling (dbt): help manage the various data models that power business intelligence and enable our stakeholders to answer questions. You will need to work closely with analytics engineers to develop and create performant, reliable data models which are fit for purpose.
- Ad-hoc analyses: undertake ad-hoc deep-dive analysis to support the decision making process around exciting new initiatives. Being proactive with the data and bringing new insights to drive better insights and tie back to operational outcomes.
- Performance Reporting: Build dashboards (dbt, BQ & Looker) to support both operational reporting and strategic decision making.
What You'll Bring - You are an analytical thinker with strong attention to detail
- You are proactive, pragmatic and have a ‘can do’ attitude
- You are able to synthesise data into a clear story and relate those back to tangible business impact
- You like working with business stakeholders and fellow data enthusiasts
- You have experience with a BI tool (preference towards Looker)
- You are fluent in SQL (BigQuery is our data warehouse)
- You have experience working with Git
- You have experience with dbt
- 5 + years of experience in an (quantitative) analyst role. Previous experience in payments, fintech is preferred.
- University degree (Econometrics, Maths, Science, Engineering or related quantitative field)
- Fluency in English
Nice to haves - Affinity for data science (decision tree, rule-based systems, classification problems)
- Experience working with events data streams
