Title: Chief Instrumentation Engineer

Description:

• Prepare the deliverables planning of the Instrumentation discipline, in line with the project schedule.

• Control, review and monitor any progress deviation from the plan and set up recovery plan, as necessary.

• Plan discipline engineering mhrs in line with the progress schedule and budget. Control review and monitor any deviation(spent mhrs vs earned mhrs).

• Approve all deliverables issued by the Instrumentation discipline for the project: technical specifications, data sheets,inspection data sheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations

• Coordinate engineering subcontractor activities

• Perform or supervise the overall process of the Material Requisitions for Instrumentation (MR issue, bids technicalevaluation, vendor follow up, review of vendor technical documentation).

• Interact with the Suppliers for the technical issues.

• Ensure that Instrumentation engineering is developed with the proper coordination among the other disciplines

• Carry out the periodical estimate of material and erection quantities.

• Propose optimization/changes in order to minimize quantity/costs or optimize project schedule.

• Support Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases.

• Review Tender Documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase.

• Analyse project constraints and take prompt actions in order to solve any issue arising during engineering development.

• Participation to FAT

• Support Construction Department in the Work Requisitions process (quantities, scope of work, work description, bidstech. evaluation, follow up, approval of tech. documentation etc.

• Support the Project Management Team in case of dispute/claims related to the Instrumentation Discipline (new scope ofwork, cost impact, time impact, risk evaluation, etc.).

• Support the Instrumentation Discipline Manager proposing improvement to standard procedures and designmethodologies.

• Tutoring for Instrumentation Engineers.

• Supports Site Team clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors

• Participation to SAT (Site Acceptance Test)

Requirements:

• I&C Engineering background

• Knowledge of main I&C international codes, standards and best engineering practices (ISA, IEC, IEEE, ATEX, NFPA;API etc.)

• Knowledge of ICSS (DCS/ESD/FGS) systems

• Knowledge of Building F&G systems

• Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection)

• Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Safety systems (PA/GA systems, Radio communications,)

• Knowledge of Industrial TLC Plant Communication ( systems structural cabling, office network, telephone system)

• Knowledge of O&G , Power & Industrial Plant SCADA systems, network architecture & integration

• Knowledge of Field Instruments

• Knowledge of instrument installation and hook-up

• Knowledge of I&C field engineering (routing, etc)

• Knowledge of FIELD BUS

• Knowledge of Automation &Control

• Knowledge of Smart Plant Instrumentation

• Seniority: Long-standing experience in I&C Engineering in Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Energy EPC projects (10-15 years)

• Education : Bachelor/Master Degree in Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering

• Fluent written and spoken English

• Softwares
