Perceived Quality Lead Engineer (PQ LE)
Purpose of the Job
- The Mechanical Engineer Perceived Quality will participate in tender, project execution and validation (perceived quality methodology application and progress following)
- She/He will contribute to perceived quality metier referential
- She/He will contribute to Perceived Quality & Comfort CCN
Position in the Organisation
Organisation Reporting
- Hierarchical report to MSE Domain Leader .
- Other reporting to: Train Design Metier Manager / Train Mechanical Interface Engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable
- Apply Engineering instructions, guidelines and internal processes of the Perceived Quality Metier.
- Validate CAI Cartography from A&CD teams or external design agencies
- Share tools and process to transversal stakeholders.
- Propose just needed PQA targets, per zone on tender/project application.
- Ensure action plan management and progress following all along the tender/project cycle
Responsible
- Offer Perceived Quality proven or pilot solutions all along the tender/project cycle and make comparisons (according to existing projects example library)
- Fill-up Gap & Flush template at each maturity stages: criticality / typology / target / commitment
- Share return of experience during projects in order to feed or adjust Proven Solutions Catalogue with PQ&C Métier Manager
- Share KPI of improvements/evolution all along tender and project phase.
- Share customers’ feedback on methodology with PQ&C Métier Manager
Participate:
- Contribute to the Perceived Quality Pilot studies choice and requirements
- Gather relevant REX with PQ&C Network
- Contribute to the Perceived Quality & Comfort solutions benchmark (internal and external references)
MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES
Educational Requirements :
- Mechanical, Sensory or General Engineering degree Bsc/Msc, or equivalent
- Design Thinking process basic knowledge
- Basic knowledge on mechanical conception specially in interior design and CAD software (Catia preferred)
Experience :
- At least 3 years of experience in R&D, Design in Aeronautical, Automotive or Railways engineering department
- Desirable:
- Basic handmade sketching (2D sections and rough perspective)
- Design and 3D viewer software sensitization (VRed presenter preferred)
Competencies and Skills :
- Familiar with collaborative innovation processes.
- Good communication skills, pro-activity, team working
- English conversational/writing/reading advanced level
- Lean & didactic graphic presentation skills
