As an experienced System Integration Engineer within our System Engineering team, you will be responsible for “integrating various technologies including hardware & software for individual components & sub-systems, to create a functional and efficient overall system". You will primarily be involved in the development of various Electrified Powertrain Systems including High-Performance Transmissions and Electric Drives. You will monitor the activities of internal and/or external stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle and lead the integration of all components to fulfill customer needs, ensuring that our products integrate seamlessly with their existing systems.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead system team interactions with external stakeholders and ensure a common understanding of the system goals, scope, requirements, architecture, design and test methodology.
- Foster an excellent working environment & relationship with the customer as our key point of contact; providing timely updates and progress of all integration & validation efforts.
- Focus on "increasing value to the customer" (improved product quality and performance) while simultaneously "providing value to the company" (reduced operational costs and overall development time).
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the product conforms to all customer requirements, internal requirements and specifications.
- Perform system integration studies, trade-off analysis, and present solutions in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop detailed integration test requirements, plans & procedures for the development of individual components as well as the overall system.
- Break down high-level feature requests into detailed sub-system and component level features and drive the implementation, integration and testing activities.
- Analyze the system design through failure modes & effects analysis (DFMEA, PFMEA), fault-tree analysis (FTA), etc. to identify gaps & inconsistencies and provide feedback to the relevant design teams.

- Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bring-up, debugging, and testing.
- Participate in test infrastructure development, provide technical guidance for test platform selection & coordinate test execution.
- Lead system-level troubleshooting - perform hands-on data collection & root cause analysis for issues, propose solutions to complex problems, and drive issue resolution with clearly documented prevent recurrence actions.
- Ensure the design meets serviceability requirements and support warranty issue resolution in production.
- Support quality control discussions including but not limited to peer reviews as well as internal & external audits.
- Provide end-to-end traceability for product maturity at critical program milestones and lead initiatives to make our systems more robust and fault tolerant.
Job Position Requirements
Education: University Master Degree – Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics / Mechatronics / Automotive Engineering (or related)
Professional Background:
- 2+ years as a System Integration Engineer within the automotive industry.
- 3+ years of experience with requirements management, design & optimization, verification & validation.
- Experience working at an OEM or Tier1 on high-performance electrification products is a plus.
Hard Skills
Essential:
- Experience aligning internal and external stakeholders in component & system evaluations, decisions and trade-offs.
- Strong knowledge of integration and testing methodologies and technologies.
- Experience with system integration and test tools such as LabVIEW, dSPACE toolset, etc.
- Experience reviewing system level requirements and generating a high-level system integration test plan.
- Experience with requirement management tools (Polarion, DOORS).
- Experience with debugging, fault analysis and root cause analysis of complex hardware systems - specifically software-controlled electrical or electromechanical devices.
- Proven ability to use innovation to solve challenging problems and increase efficiency through automation.
- Experience procuring test equipment, developing test fixtures & rigs for component and system validation.
- Experience operating test labs and relevant data acquisition equipment.
- Experience working with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools for project management.
- Strong understanding of System Engineering principles and practices.
- Basic knowledge of ASPICE standard, CMMI, ISO 26262 and Cybersecurity concepts.
Considered as a plus
- ASEP/CSEP certification through INCOSE or other professional certification in System Engineering.
- Experience with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA).
- Experience with CAN communication protocol and Vector CAN tools.
- Experience with electrified systems or vehicle architectures for electrification products.
- Experience in powertrain or driveline development of systems and/or components (transmission, e-drives, differentials).
- Experience with Model Based System Engineering tools and methodologies (UML, SysML, Cameo Systems Modeler).
- Experience with programming languages such as C++, Python, Matlab or similar.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Experience in project management and/or product management.
- Knowledge of automotive product development processes.
