JOB SPECIFICATION; ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a crucial member of our team, you will work with governments and donors, engaging senior leaders in public sectors to address their most complex challenges. Your role involves building capabilities for delivering priority projects and contributing to data-driven decision-making.
This role is being offered as a 1 year fixed term engagement. There may be an opportunity for the engagement to be extended after the initial 1 year period however this will depend on the growth of the region and the individuals performance, therefore it is not guaranteed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with Project Leaders on the execution of client projects, offering guidance and coaching to the client’s team for achieving tangible results
Engage directly with clients, facilitating problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement across organizational silos
Lead data collection and analytical processes to develop robust recommendations for client presentations
Implement prioritized recommendations, working closely with client team members
Plan and execute stakeholder workshops, ensuring the smooth flow of routine meetings
Contribute to the development of client reports and communication materials under the guidance of Project Leaders
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree or above
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, with a track record in top consulting firms or international organizations
- Demonstrated passion for addressing economic and social challenges
- Client-facing roles in public sector contexts or direct experience delivering results
- Solid team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong relationship-building skills with a history of deepening client relationships
- Experience working and living in Africa
- Sector expertise or experience working with African or international organizations
- Effective communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Currently based in Guinea with a willingness to travel as required
PROJECT SPECIFICITIES:
ROLE MODELING AND ADOPTION SUPPORT - Serve as a role model for PMU staff, aiding in the understanding, adoption, and adaptation of aRBM practices
- Actively coach and collaborate with PMU teams, providing hands-on support for the adoption of aRBM practices, tools, and processes
CO-DESIGN AND TESTING
- Collaborate with PMUs to co-design aRBM tools and interventions tailored to specific project needs
- Test tools and interventions, refining them with the aRBM design team to enhance effectiveness
ONGOING SUPPORT - Provide dedicated and ongoing support to enable PMUs to independently and correctly use and adhere to aRBM practices
STRENGTHENING LINKAGES
- Engage with regional leadership to strengthen relationships and problem-solving capacities between projects and IsDB regional leadership
PEER SUPPORT AND ONBOARDING - Assist in onboarding new project embeds and offer peer support to ensure continuity and knowledge transfer
OWNERSHIP AND LEADERSHIP - Build active and visible leadership within PMUs, fostering a culture of commitment to aRBM practices
- Co-create an aRBM "journey" with each PMU, ensuring practices and interventions are adapted to enhance ownership and self-sustaining aRBM practice
DATA-DRIVEN STRATEGIES - Play a critical role in crafting data-driven strategies to underpin aRBM practices with robust data and evidence
