Pre-Sales Wood Specialist (f/m/d)

Job description
As a Pre-Sales Wood Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the customer demo process and product specification management/testing for technologically advanced solutions with focus in the wood processing sector ("green, dry & planer mill" and "secondary processing"). In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing product specifications performing specific tests, aiming at monitoring the product life cycle and writing technical documentation for the sales process.
Your tasks
- Management of the live demo process at the company's showrooms, including the preparation of the machines according to customer requirements
- Study of the product from a technical, mechanical, and functional point of view
- Preparation of technical documentation
- Planning and execution of product tests to specify product performance or identify product life cycle status
- Collaboration with customers and OEM partners on a global level, as well as the company's Sales, Pre-Sales Engineering, and Product Management teams
- Possible active participation in trade fair events
Your profile
- Degree in Forestry and Environmental Sciences or Wood Technology or previous experience in the wood processing industry
- High predisposition to technology
- Knowledge of the supply chain and/or wood processing
- Analytical and reporting skills
- Willing to work in a technical sales environment
- Good command of English, knowledge of German/Italian is an advantage
- Independent and structured way of working, as well as special attention to customers' needs
- Willing to travel worldwide or across MiCROTEC locations
- High problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Driving license B
