Fluid-o-Tech is an Italian leading company highly specialized in the design and manufacturing of positive displacement pumps, smart proportional valves, sensors, and fluidic systems. The company serves a wide range of industries including Automotive, Food and Beverage, Medical, Water Treatment, Renewable Energies and Industrial. We are seeking a highly motivated:

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL COMMODITY BUYER

Main responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

• Develop a strategic approach for the categories assigned (mainly electrical and electronic components , but also mechanical ), involving all the relevant internal stakeholders;
• Liaise with stakeholders (in particular the Technical and R&D Department) to ensure the day-to-day activities and the strategy execution related to the categories assigned;
• Monitor the markets for the categories assigned in order to support the development of the most up-to-date cost-saving initiatives to the business taking responsibility of their roll out;
• Continuously research and evaluate new possible suppliers and innovative solutions (in particular in Far East area), that meet the organization’s standards of price, quality, service and reliability of supply;
• Negotiate, finalize, and manage supplier contracts autonomously;
• Support the Group Procurement & Supply Chain Manager to continuously identify improvement opportunities and coordinate sourcing projects;
• Guarantee the respect for the assigned purchasing budget;
• Take care of cost and value analysis, reporting activities, tracking and improvements of KPIs assigned;
• Establishing an effective liaison with other Departments.

Candidate profile

• Degree in Engineering (preferable), Business Administration, or equivalent experience;
• At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within B2B multinational companies, with a focus on Automotive, White Goods, Industrial or Factory Automation markets;
• Having already managed the purchasing of electrical/electronic components will be highly appreciated ;
• Ability to read correctly a mechanical drawing ;
• Good relational, analytical, and organizational skills, adaptability and proactivity;
• Good knowledge of MS Office;
• Critical thinking, problem solving and negotiation skills.
