Project Engineer

The Project Engineer will coordinate assigned aspects of analytical projects and support Project Managers in management and execution of the project. You will execute work packages as assigned and supervised by a Project Manager.

Your responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with standard ABB internal directives and procedure(s), relevant cybersecurity regulations, standards and contractual requirements.
- Ensure compliance with National and International Engineering standards, rules and directives to fulfill contractual requirements.
- Conduct analysis of planned versus actual project performance under the supervision of the Project Manager or the Engineering Manager.
- Prepare materials and assists in project reviews.
- Issue, Monitor, control and releases requests of orders (RDA) based on project specifications assuring timely and cost effective project delivery.
- Communicate appropriate information to project stakeholders effectively.
- Take necessary actions (when appropriate and in collaboration with the Project/engineering management) to mitigate project HSE risks.
- Define and apply basic project planning techniques on ongoing projects and drive the updating process. Take ownership of the assigned task and coordinate with related project members for planning and control requirements effectively.
- Issue the project list and the relevant documentation directly or with the support of defined external resources, controls documentation accuracy and consistency based on tasks assigned by Project Manager according to the Contractual requirements and procedures agreed with the customer.
- Ensure the issuance of purchase orders and engineering on time and expected costs in compliance with contractual obligations and assigned business objectives.
Your background
- Educational background in Chemical, Electrical or related careers.
- At least 5 years of experience in process automation business, working with instrumentation and analyzers system solution is preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering rules, project techniques, processes and tools.
- A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
