Job description
The Systems Engineer will work closely with application teams to create modify refactor and document Automic workflows across our environments. We have approximately 10 individual instances of Automic and over 400 workflows. The engineer will perform reviews of workflows for consistency and opportunities for improvement in resilience and performance. They will partner as needed to migrate workflows from deprecated onprem instances to new cloudbased instances and perform provisioning of new workflows as required. Additional project work will include integration with ServiceNow and expansion of monitoring.
This is a handson Engineer who enjoys planning creating and fieldtesting realworld enterprise solutions. We seek forwardthinking team members who are passionate about delivering quality products and services and enjoy working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges. Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills be able to work independently as a selfstarter utilize good time management skills and function well within a diverse team.
Responsibilities:
- Install configure and manage multiple instances of Automic Automation Engine across our fleet and islands.
- Provide technical support for our applications and workflows.
- Perform application deployments and workflow creation.
- Migrate applications and jobs/workflows from onprem datacenter instances of Automic to cloudbased instances.
- Review and remediate opportunities for performance and resiliency in Automic.
- Perform routine maintenance of the Automic platform.
- Manage user access and security.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years experience supporting Automic Automation Engine in an enterprise environment.
- A minimum of 5 years background in IT computer systems engineering or systems engineering and analysis.
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- Selfstarter with the ability to take initiative and balance multiple priorities with minimal direction.
- Demonstrated strong communication and design skills both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow Jira or other Ticketing tools.
- Familiarity with Confluence (or other documentation/wikis).
- Ability to diagnose simple to complex system and process problems.
- Demonstrated exceptional troubleshooting methodology including the ability to communicate complex problems to all levels of technical skill sets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior maritime experience from a technology perspective.
- Industry certification in Windows and Linux.
- Experience in user management via Active Directory.
- Powershell of other scripting languages.
Required Education:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
