Job summary
MISSION:
Responsible for the design, analysis , and implementation of piping/pipeline systems including CAD design, interpretation of technical drawings, topography analysis, and compliance with industry regulations.
TASKS:
- Leading the design and analysis of piping systems for new pipeline projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications;
- Utilizing CAD systems to develop detailed piping layouts and isometrics;
- Analyzing and interpreting maps, technical drawings, and cadastral drawings to facilitate pipeline design and route planning;
- Collaborating with surveyors to incorporate topographic data into pipeline designs;
- Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards in pipeline design and construction;
- Implementing cathodic protection systems in accordance with industry best practices;
- Providing technical support and follow-up throughout the project lifecycle, from design to construction and commissioning;
- Interpreting (P&IDs) and coordinating with other engineering disciplines as needed;
- Preparing technical documentation, including design reports, specifications, and compliance documentation;
- Providing regular project updates and reports to project stakeholders, highlighting progress and potential issues.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or equivalent experience in the sector;
- 5+ years of experience in the design and follow-up of new pipeline projects;
- Proficiency in CAD systems and ability to interpret technical drawings and maps;
- Knowledge of topography analysis and interpretation;
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to pipeline design;
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas sector is desirable;
- Good written and spoken English communication skills.
