About the Opportunity:

FedTec is looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer to assess and evaluate behaviors of targeted groups of people using human centered design methodology to explore all aspects of a stakeholders experience and then translate that knowledge into meaningful and actionable information and system designs to inform and improve programs products and services. Leverage a variety of technologies tools and techniques including market and ethnographic research. Apply advanced consulting skills extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge.

Position: UI/UX Design Engineer

Work Location: Remote

Client: Internal Revenue Services

Primary Responsibilities

• Utilize a humancentered approach and incorporate use cases and usability to gathering requirements and designing enhancement to the software platform.
• Design and conduct usability testing to verify the usability of the new processes using the Pega platform
• Ensure a consistent and coherent user journey through the conversion funnel connecting landing pages and other elements to create a holistic experience
• Conduct insightful field interviews and observations
• Collaborate with project team to synthesize data into meaningful findings
• Develop models that ground the team in a common language and purpose
• Translate findings into task flows personas usage scenarios stakeholder maps journey maps etc.

Basic Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with developing and facilitating design strategy sessions for gathering requirements collecting data analyzing results and deriving insights and recommendations
• 5 years of experience with using collaboration and design tools including Figma Justinmind MURAL and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience creating prototypes customer journey maps mock screens UX solutions on Pega platform
• Knowledge of User Experience research methods including facilitating interviews and focus groups
• Experience with presenting and interacting with senior level clients
• 5 years of experience with creating personas process flows journey maps service design blueprints and other experience maps in a clientready deliverable format
• Knowledge of Enterprise IT Transformation
• Ability to think creatively and synthesize information
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in information technology or related field

Clearance:

• Ability to obtain public trust clearance
