Job Description
Windows Admin (Operations Domain)
• Good Knowledge of managing Windows Physical servers i.e., CISCO, HP, Dell, Fujitsu…etc.
• Expert or Good understanding of Raid configuration, Troubleshooting related like accessibility issues, Network issues, BSOD issues, Disk and storage-related issues, and ILO/console concepts.
• Aware of VMware and Nutanix technology and Good exposure to managing Virtual Microsoft Windows servers.
• One who can handle issues related to OS accessibility, Network, Performance, and other operational work.
• One who understands server Induction, OS installation (onsite or remotely via console or ILO), and disk-related actions.
• Good exposure in Microsoft failover cluster (Creation, reconfiguration, Migrations, Cluster disk related tasks)
• Good Exposure in IIS (Site creation, Migration, Troubleshooting).
• Troubleshooting of performance issues, Site reachability issues, troubleshooting of different status codes i.e. 200,300, 400, 500 Series.
• Log analysis like IIS logs, ERROR logs, Freb, Worker process dump analysis,
• OS log analysis perfmon, Memory dumps, Net-mon.
• Deep knowledge of OS to identify the cause of RCA during outages.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
• Basic or intermediate knowledge of cloud concepts like Azure, Oracle, and Google.
• Basic tasks related to different clouds like Azure, Oracle, and Google.
• Proactively manage and maintain server and virtual environment for high uptime.
• Design and implement monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.
• Document best practices and support procedures
• Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure in case of emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance.
