Hi Aspirants , Senior Valuation Associate, New York
Job Overview:
You will lead a team of Analysts with who are responsible for managing the valuation process of the M&A businesses. They are responsible for: conducting financial analysis on prospectus companies who are interested in selling their business.
This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate who is passionate about finance and valuations and has an active interest in technology. The role will involve the execution of tasks such as: collation of financial information from clients, interrogation, and evaluation of financial documentation to support the business vetting process, use of various systems to calculate and analyse financial metrics. Responsibilities:
• Work in a leading capacity for all members of the Valuations team;
• Researching, gathering and analysing data to determine the appropriate qualification of leads
• Identify industry-specific trends and issues, including financial information, incoming profiles of prospects and competitor performance
• Work closely with potential clients to collate and organise business financial data;
• Develop profit and loss statements as well as other reports;
• Perform in-depth interrogation of client business financials and performance;
• Conduct business valuations using different valuation methodologies;
• Provide evaluation and analysis of business to influence outcomes and decisions; and
• Communicate and prepare materials to support recommendations to team and stakeholders
Required Skills:
• Ability to analyse profit & loss statements, balance sheets and communicate insight, patterns and trends;
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal);
• Extensive experience with MS Excel;
• Deadline-driven, and has a sense of urgency;
• Robust analytical skillset and naturally inquisitive; and
• Ability to work independently and multi-task in fast-paced environment.
Experience and Education:
• Experience in similar roles within the financial services or technology industry;
• Good product knowledge and analytical skills;
• Attention to details, precision and consistency;
• Strong academics in business administration, accounting, economics, finance or equivalent. (2.1 or above); and
• ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA (or equivalent industry certifications is advantageo
