Job Title: Cloud Operations Engineer
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cloud Operations Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building and maintaining AWS infrastructure, with a focus on ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of cloud environments. As a Cloud Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in the day-to-day management of our AWS infrastructure, collaborating with the broader team to enhance and optimize our cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities:
AWS Infrastructure Management:
- Monitor, manage, and optimize AWS infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, Security Groups, IAM, ECS, CodeDeploy, and S3.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and implement improvements to enhance system performance.
Operational Support:
- Provide hands-on operational support for AWS services such as EKS, EC2, Load Balancing, and Storage.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
Security and Migration:
- Assist in implementing security best practices and controls within the AWS environment.
- Support EKS migration projects, ensuring security and networking considerations are addressed.
Consultation and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Architects on consulting and implementation tasks related to AWS Control Tower, CloudFront, WAF, Networking, Patching, and Security Control.
- Participate in assessing applications for migration to AWS Workspace and contribute to the execution of migration plans.
Integration and Networking:
- Integrate AWS services with different systems through APIs and SDKs, ensuring seamless communication.
- Demonstrate expertise in Windows, Active Directory, and network technologies (VPC, TGW, VN, DX).
AWS Services Expertise:
- Stay up-to-date with AWS services, with a focus on developing skills in Amazon Connect, QuickSight, RedShift, and Glue.
- Maintain knowledge of AWS Landing Zone (LZ), VPC, and Control Tower.
Collaboration and Teamwork:
- Collaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Architects to support hands-on configuration tasks related to AWS LZ, Security guardrails, EKS, and Helm charts.
- Work closely with the team to contribute to the build and deployment of CI/CD pipelines, deployment architectures, and platform engineering.
Automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Execute hands-on tasks to automate infrastructure setup, security configurations, VPC/subnet management, etc.
- Demonstrate proficiency in AWS CloudFormation (CFT), Terraform, and ARM templates for infrastructure automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in building and maintaining AWS infrastructure.
- Strong expertise in EKS migration, security, networking, and large-scale migrations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS Control Tower, CloudFront, WAF, and related services.
- Proficiency in AWS services integration through APIs and SDKs.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline build, deployment architecture, and platform engineering.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and ARM templates.
