Through our flagship program 'School Transformation and Empowerment Project' (STEP), we aim to catalyse the transformation of India's public education system. STEP is typically a multi-stakeholder engagement that aims at bringing coherence to state-wide activities for improving the quality of school level outcomes. During the course of our programs, we work closely with the state governments through different phases like in-depth diagnosis of a problem statement, intervention design and implementation. Some key principles that guide our programs are 'designing for sustainability and scale', 'systems thinking' and 'leveraging technology and platforms'

Position Summary

As a Senior Program Lead, you will own mini-projects within the overall program. the individual will be responsible for the leadership journey of 2-3 members of the program team by playing a role of manager and coach for them during their leadership development journey. He/She will work closely with the team and the education department to drive the education intervention. Senior Program Lead will also be actively engaged in designing and innovating the existing program design and implementation methods. You'll be in the company of 1-2 such other leads whose projects together define the scope of the state education reforms program. While receiving requisite guidance and support from the program leadership, you'll drive the mission of enabling the relevant stakeholders to lead continuous and sustainable improvements.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead the co-creation journey of education change programs with partners and Govt. officials at the state level such as SSA, SCERT, SIEMAT, DGSE etc.
  • Build strategic partnerships consisting of various organizations and stakeholders, including NGOs, Knowledge partners, Design Consultants, Govt. Agencies etc. and create a partner engagement framework to coordinate and monitor the efficacy.
  • Review existing structures and processes, and work with concerned officials to implement improvement projects.
  • Assess and analyze existing government projects and devise plans to strengthen them. You would improve the learning cycles for every official by improving the feedback mechanism from the ground.
  • Support the program solutions amp; design teams for each initiative to make simple and scalable interventions and establish effective Monitoring and Evaluation processes. 6. Articulate the objectives and theory of change and communicate effectively with the stakeholders about the program.

Eligibility

  • Strong alignment with the cause of reforming Govt. education system. Strong interest in empowering a school through system level interventions
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, preferably in working with Govt. stakeholders or in the education sector.
  • Awareness of the state-level initiatives towards education transformation in different parts of India
  • Experience in classroom teaching, delivering educational programs with BRC, DIETs, SCERT, SPD office is preferred.
  • Experience in leading teams to achieve ambitious outcomes.

Rs. INR 10 to INR 12 Lakhs per annum

Location:

Should be open to work in either locations eg: Lucknow (UP) and Patna (Bihar). The decision ofbase location would happen after a 3 months probation period.
