Job description
Great products deserve great documentation! Cogito is in search of a Technical Writer to build our customer-facing product and internal technical documentation libraries. The ideal candidate will work across the organization to ensure a consistent user experience across all delivery channels (PDF, online, in product), can describe technical functions to a non-technical audience and be eager to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Plan, developed, organize, write, and edit both customer and internal-facing product documentation, operational procedures, release notes and manual work with product management and engineering to research, develop and document technical design specifications Produce electronic documentation (PDF and online wiki-style)Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style and content manage updates and revisions to all artifacts Strong customer service focused skills
Requirements Bachelor's Degree1+ years working in a technical writing position Excellent written and verbal communication skills the ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously expertise with MS Office, documentation software packages Strong attention to detail Flexibility in taking on additional responsibilities and projects
