Job Opportunity: Blood Bank Staff Nurse

Position: Blood Bank Staff Nurse
Location: Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Responsibilities - Administer blood and blood products to patients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Monitor and assess patients during and after blood transfusions, identifying and addressing any adverse reactions promptly.
- Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure accurate blood typing, cross-matching, and proper storage of blood products.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of blood donations, transfusions, and inventory levels.
- Educate patients and their families on the importance of blood donations and the transfusion process.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a sterile and secure blood bank environment.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry best practices.
Qualifications - Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tamilnadu.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a nurse, with specific experience in a blood bank or transfusion services preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with composure and professionalism.
