Job Overview: Sir Padampat Singhania University, a renowned institution backed by JK Cement and recognized by the State Legislative Assembly as a State Private University, is seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Vice-Chancellor. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic direction, academic leadership, and operational management, ensuring the university's reputation for excellence in Engineering and Management Education is enhanced and maintained. As we approach a critical juncture with our NAAC assessment in 2025, the Vice-Chancellor will be instrumental in steering the university towards achieving this significant milestone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership and direction to the university community, fostering a culture of excellence in teaching, research, and public engagement.
- Oversee the strategic planning and execution of academic and administrative functions to ensure alignment with the university's goals.
- Cultivate a high-quality environment of learning, research, and innovation, especially within the university's thrust areas of Engineering and Management Education.
- Drive the university's agenda for academic excellence in preparation for the NAAC assessment in 2025, ensuring the highest standards are met and sustained.
- Represent the university in its dealings with government bodies, industry partners, academic networks, and the wider community.
- Ensure the financial sustainability of the university, including seeking and nurturing partnerships and opportunities for funding.
- Enhance the university's international profile and foster global academic partnerships and collaborations.
- Uphold the university's values and ethics, promoting transparency and integrity in every aspect of its operation.
Qualifications:
- A distinguished academic with a Ph.D. from a recognized university.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in a senior academic leadership role, with a proven track record of successful strategic leadership and management in a higher education institution.
- Demonstrated excellence in academic administration, preferably with experience in Engineering and/or Management Education.
- A deep understanding of the higher education landscape, including regulatory and accreditation processes, particularly with respect to NAAC.
- Experience in fostering research, innovation, and industry partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to manage complex budgets.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
- A commitment to building a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative university culture.
