Job description

Role Summary
Functional Responsibility / Domain Related
• Support onshore analysts in carrying out credit / economic research on sovereigns.
• Be responsible for timeliness and quality of deliverables.
• Understand the requirements of the onshore analysts; gain high level of familiarity with all analytical issues concerning
sovereign risk, which includes becoming conversant with the criteria involved in sovereign ratings, intelligent
information gathering, macroeconomic analysis, and tracking trends in key data points.
• Execute the work under guidance from the Manager and in consultation with the onshore analysts, regularly interact
with the onshore analysts to keep him / her updated on the progress.
• Get updates on various issues, actively participate in the regular review meetings, and alert the onshore analysts and
the Manager about any exceptions or any difficulties in the smooth execution of work.
• Develop expertise in macroeconomics (strong understanding of macroeconomics, national income accounting and
international trade) to be able to gain expertise in sovereign risk analysis and assist onshore analysts in various
assignments.
• Be conversant with spreadsheets and report writing.
• Execute analytical assignments related to sovereign ratings, such as assisting in the preparation of sector specific or
analytical commentaries, summaries and rationales, and special projects related to sovereigns globally, both
independently and in a team.
• Participate in conference calls with onshore analysts, internal discussion forums and attend rating committee
meetings.

• Adopt the defined processes in day to day execution of assignments
• Ensure that new knowledge gained is retained and documented through operating manuals
• Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures and
Guidelines of the Organization.
Client Management / Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain relationships with international clients
Candidate Profile
• 1–3 years (CA), 4–7 years (SCA) of relevant experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Understanding of accounting and macroeconomic/financial analysis and concepts
• Positive attitude with qualities of a team player
• Innovative and solution orientation
• Open to new ideas and initiatives
• Ability to build client relations and take a view based on client guidance
• Ability to take ownership and execute tasks independently
• Ability to deal with pressure
Essential Qualifications
• MA or M.Sc (Economics)
