Head of Finance and Accounting Location : Chennai
About the Role: In this role, you will be responsible for financial and accounting operations, financial planning and strategy for the organisation. The goal is to protect the company’s revenues and profits to achieve full financial control and plan ahead. Head of Finance will work closely with CEO & business leaders in handling, managing all aspects of financial and statutory activities. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for end to end of Finance management including accounting, payroll, regulatory reporting, tax, broad investments, banking operations and month end activities. Deep dive number analysis, drive budgeting model and use them effectively to reflect costs and profit. Continuous update and reviewing of number based on actuals and market inputs. Drive annual financial planning and annual budgeting processes. Develop and maintaining of bank and stakeholder relationships. Provide means for debt and equity funding. Ensure all financial processes are effective, meets general company laws, meets regulations and audits. Sufficient opportunity to work with business leaders & CEO to evolve business and commercials model backed with financial models to support changing concepts. Will enable the business for competitively positioning offerings in the market place. Will play a key role in go to market and customer acquisition strategies. Key Requirements: Good understanding of financials regulation standards, payroll, company law & audit standards as per India market. Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting. Should have minimum one career stint with alteast 3 years of experience from IT sector. Experience from a product company or a start up will be preferred. Must be an MBA Finance from a reputed institute Expertise in financial management, accounting and flair for numbers. Experience in forecasting financial results, conducting risk management, collection & budget management and execution of financial strategies to drive business growth. Experience working in any accounting software/tool. Should be a thinker and proactive, able to effectively execute process through systems in place and deliver the underlined numbers on a consistent basis. Detail oriented and ability to work in a collaborative environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Understanding of foreign market regulations and foreign exchange management will be an added advantage.
