Job description
The Lead Engineer SQA is a critical role in the Digital technology team of Carrier. This role predominantly works on both manual and automation testing by writing various test scripts.
Responsibilities:
- Execute programs and automated scripts for testing purposes
- Develop automation scripts to align with acceptance criteria
- Functional test new products and regression test existing products during each QA release cycle
- Assist with the testing, documenting, defect tracking and information flow during each QA cycle
- Assist with development of new automation tools and maintaining existing automation tools
- Gain proficient knowledge of system functionality
- Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement to help streamline the development life cycle
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and discuss about the defects with details with the development team
Basic Qualifications Experience:
- At least 7 years of professional experience in QA
- At least 4 years of experience creating and maintaining test tooling
- At least 4 years of experience with QA or performance engineering
- At least 2 years of experience testing cloud native software
- B.E/B.Tech/MCA or equivalent in Computer Science/IT or related field.
