Pet Chef, a brand of Woofit Pvt Ltd, is a Mumbai-based funded start-up that specializes in freshly cooked, human-grade, preservative-free meals for dogs. Our mission is to make it easy for pet parents to care for their furry friends.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Logistics & Operations Associate. The Logistics & Operations Associate will be responsible for day-to-day operations, including but not limited to inbound receiving, outbound shipping, inventory management, production scheduling, quality control, and customer service. This role reports to the COO and Co-founder
- Planning and organizing: Coordinating and planning the logistics activities, including scheduling and prioritizing deliveries, and inventory management.
- Supplier management: Working closely with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate production and delivery of goods, resolving any issues or discrepancies, and maintaining good relationships with vendors.
- Transportation coordination: Arranging and coordinating transportation services, including vehicle scheduling FTL & LTL and tracking vehicles to ensure on-time delivery.
- Inventory control: Monitoring and managing inventory levels, including forecasting demand, optimizing stock levels, and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Documentation and record keeping: Maintaining accurate records of shipments, invoices, and other logistical documents, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal procedures.
- Communication and collaboration: Coordinating with various internal departments, such as procurement, production, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery to customers.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving logistical issues, such as delays, disruptions, or quality problems, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
- Route Planning: Determining the most efficient routes for transporting goods based on factors such as distance, time, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Liaising with internal teams, such as procurement, warehouse, and customer service, to coordinate transportation requirements and resolve any logistics-related issues.
Key Skills
- Experience of 2-3 years in a D2C or E-commerce brand will be given preference
- Must have hands-on over experience in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to present information effectively and respond to questions from groups of managers
- Working knowledge of ERP software will be appreciated
- Communication - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely in English
- Communication - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word
