What You'll Do:

As a Technical Service Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our innovation, driving Technical Service. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.

In this role, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for key customers in India and the surrounding business regions. You will act as a voice of the customer and subject matter expert on chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) processing and equipment design best practices. You will also serve as a liaison between Lubrizol R&D, commercial, and operations on technical projects at customers to provide an efficient transition from scale-up to commercialization for new products. 

What We're Looking For:

• Provide technical support and training to the production facilities and internal and external customers in the areas of quality control, customer support and technical guidance regarding production processes  
• Support the development and introduction of new products, applications, and approvals
• Support technical programs with business directives which enhance customer intimacy programs
• Support sales and marketing and application development programs
• Act as a technical resource across the business segment
• Provide pragmatic solutions for customer issues or complaints through evaluation and guidance
• Work directly with manufacturing to achieve targeted results and resolve issues
• Support sales and marketing efforts to expand Lubrizol’s position within the industry
• Provide technical data, reports, and communications regarding customer’s status or issues
• Ensure effective communication across at all levels of the organization and between key stakeholder groups
• Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness and adherence to safety processes

Skills That Make a Difference:

• 10+ years of experience in plastics processing industry (extrusion experience preferred, molding) 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex topics to varying stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
• Project management skills – ability to understand key deliverables and actions needed to accomplish results
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally as business need requires (up to 50% of the time)
• Knowledge of ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials), BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), ISO (International Organization of Standardization) approval agencies and processes
