About the Firm

Shekhawat Law is a boutique law firm located in South Delhi, India, that specializes in Intellectual Property (IP) Rights and Technology Law. The firm provides comprehensive legal services including IP registration, litigation, and advisory services to domestic as well as international clients. Shekhawat Law also provides advisory and litigation services covering practice areas such as IPRs, Biological Diversity, Data Protection/Privacy and other laws having an interface with technology and sciences.

Role Description

This is a full-time Associate role located on-site in South Delhi. The Associate will be responsible for assisting with Patent drafting, IPR prosecution, drafting case pleadings, writing legal opinions, case briefs, and memoranda, attending client meetings, and appearing before the Indian IP office, Courts, whenever required.

Qualifications (Mandatory)

• Engineering/Science Degree (Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, Software, Physics; Biotech)- from a reputed University AND
• LL.B (1-2 year PQE)
• Excellent legal research and writing skills
• Experience with IP registration and/or Litigation, Legal research
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Additional Qualifications (optional)

• Patent Agent Exam qualified
• Knowledge of domestic and international IP laws and regulations
• Experience in technology law
• Fluency in Hindi or another Indian language
