Responsibilities As a Engineering Manager for the India-based development team, you will anchor a new software development team that you will be responsible for building to take over the evolving ARitize3D, a 3D Modeling CMS system with new enterprise capabilities, web-based AR features and API capabilities. You will work closely with product owners, 3D artists, and engineering leads at various product life cycle stages. Your responsibilities will include the following:
- Work with the Product Management team to produce or revise roadmaps based on company goals.
- Work with the engineering team to scope new or revised features, write user stories, and help define acceptance criteria for tasks.
- Act as product owner for Augmented Reality mobile and/or web apps
- Help engineering team with prioritization of work requests.
- Work with the Product Management team to come up with technical solutions that align with strategic goals.
- Conduct interviews for new hires, reviews for existing team members
- Experience managing significant Cloud budgets and collaborating with finance teams
- Build a team from 0 to 5 engineers in first 3 months.
Qualifications And Skills - Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of management experience as a manager or 3+ years of management experience as a director
- In-depth knowledge of at least one object-oriented language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Expert knowledge of AR/VR web technologies such as BabylonJS, ARCore, ARKit, Spark AR, or other related Web XR technologies.
- Deep understanding of cloud application architecture stack based on AWS
- Working experience with Kubernetes deployments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with engineers and business stakeholders
- Familiarity with agile methodologies such as Scrum and tools such as Jira
