Stratus India office has been setup in Bangalore, India (partnering with ATG). It is established to perform activities for Engineering, Customer Service and IT teams. Engineering teams have been established to work on development and maintenance projects across product lines (ftServer, ztC, everRun) and operating systems (Windows, RHEL, ESX, VOS). Customer Service teams comprises of Customer service representatives, L1 and L2 support engineers. IT team performs IT support activities across various operating systems and functions.

In this position, you will work alongside experienced engineers from our software development groups in India and Maynard where your role will range from debugging and fixing critical customer issues to developing our next generation ftServer platform.
Job Summary:
Imagine designing a computer that never fails! Engineer will be working with a dynamic, cross-functional development team in Maynard, Massachusetts and Bangalore, India on advanced development of high-availability solutions.
Typical tasks will include:
Modifying device drivers to support surprise removal of adapters for each of the operating systems
Porting new releases of RHEL/VMWare VSphere to run on the latest Stratus hardware
Investigating QA and Field reports bugs and developing fixes
Learning new skills to do whatever it takes to help the team successfully deliver value to our customers.
Qualifications
Bachelors / Masters / Engineering degree in Computer science or equivalent
Experience/Knowledge in Device driver, Kernel mode development, C, C++ Programming Language etc.
Experience of OS internals such as ESX, Linux or other Unix operating systems
Experience in OS debugging, analyzing system crashes
Ability to work cooperatively in a local team and with the team in the US.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills, comfortable working in a team orientated environment
