Job description
Roles & Responsibilities : - Create and implement the functional safety strategy and roadmap in accordance with the ISO 26262 and other applicable vehicle safety requirements. - Lead and facilitate the creation and maintenance of safety plans, safety cases, and safety analyses.- Conduct safety analysis tasks in coordination with the global team and the onsite Principal FSM as necessary.- To assist the certification of roadmap or custom software projects, create documents and/or evidence packages.- Help with executing SFMEA, FTA, FMEDA, DFMEA, and DFA in accordance with ISO 26262 standard- Work together with an outside safety assessor. Coordinate and support the functional safety assessment and certification activities with external certification bodies.- Attend & conduct workshops and training sessions on the use of automotive products in safety-critical systems or on the topic of functional safety principles, processes, and tools- Collaborate with system architects and engineers to ensure the integration of functional safety requirements into the overall system design.- Also, work together on schedules and procedures with other teams, such as System Architecture, Requirements Engineering, Simulations & Validation, and Controls Development.- Conduct functional safety evaluations, which should include hazard analysis and risk assessments (HARA), analyses of the safety requirements, and evaluations of the safety concepts.- Monitor safety performance indicators and metrics, identifying trends and areas of concern, and taking appropriate corrective actions.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safety-related issues and lessons learned are appropriately addressed and incorporated into future projects.- Foster a safety culture within the organization, promoting awareness, accountability, and the importance of functional safety.- Regularly communicate the status of functional safety activities and progress to stakeholders and managementRequired Skills (Technical Competency) :- Minimum 5 year experience in delivering work products of ISO26262 in Automotive industry- In-depth knowledge of functional safety principles, methodologies, and tools used in the automotive domain- Experience in ISO26262 external audit, Functional safety assessment, confirmation reviews- Experience performing safety analyses and crafting the associated documentation.- Experience with requirements management and associated tools- Embedded software development- Proficiency in safety-related software tools, such as Medini Analyze, Fault Tree+, or similar tools- Excellent relationship management, communication and interpersonal skills, gained by experience- A high degree of motivation and ability to work successfully within a team & independently in a standalone role within a global environmentDesired Skills :- Knowledge on Automotive microcontrollers, on-chip peripherals, and ASICs and other embedded RTOS development- Familiarity with automotive industry standards and regulations, including AUTOSAR and SPICE, etc- Knowledge of software development processes, standards, or guidelines (ASPICE, MISRA) as well as scripting and document generation tools- Certification in functional safety (e.g., ISO 26262)- Knowledge in Cyber security (ref:hirist.tech)
