Job description
The S&A Project Manager has responsibility for the creation and implementation of integrated product development and delivery plans for analytics and automation projects.
These objectives will be accomplished by utilization of key project management tools and techniques for planning, executing, and closing analytics projects efficiently. Responsibility will be assumed for ensuring the successful delivery of data-driven solutions, coordinating cross-functional teams, and managing project timelines and budgets. The S&A Project Manager will manage cross-functional communication with the teams and Senior Leadership, anticipate and resolve issues with the team, ensure documentation of key team/asset information and decisions, and ensure project management systems are up to date. This role is responsible to enable and support metrics and business reviews frequently in coordination with the S&A leadership team.
Project Planning:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and budget estimates.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Use the right tools and techniques for efficient project management.
Team Coordination:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure team members have the necessary resources to meet project goals.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and key milestones.
- Facilitate effective communication between team members and ensure transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Resource Management:
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial constraints.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and meet project deadlines.
- Identify and address any resource gaps or constraints.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytics solutions.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
Change Management:
- Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope, schedule, or budget.
- Assess the impact of changes and work with stakeholders to adjust project plans accordingly.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and lessons learned.
- Ensure that documentation adheres to organizational standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bacheloru2019s degree in project management, business, analytics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in project management, preferably in the analytics or data science domain.
- Strong understanding of data analytics concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software. JIRA preferred.
- PMP or other project management certifications are a plus.u00A0
- Strong Business Acumen and willingness to learn. Clinical Data Experience preferred.
