Responsibilities

• Proficient in Cisco Router and Switching trouble shooting and configuration.
• Proficient in Load Balancing, preferably F5
• Capable of reading and understanding a packet capture
• Understanding of Fire Wall technologies including Cisco ASA, Checkpoint and Palo Alto
• Understanding of Cloud technology
• Experience with monitoring tools, ie Spectrum
• Basic knowledge and understanding of internet proxies: Blue Coat, Websense, etc
• Strong understanding of front-end processor equipment and various patch and cabling equipment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization
• Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team, and time management skills
• Ability to utilize appropriate diagnostic tools to aid in trouble shooting procedures
• Ability to set priorities and multitask complex issues
• Ability to work with vendor personnel to resolve problems and issues on behalf of the client or the company
• Ability to provide timely responses and accurate problem analysis information to users at all levels
• Resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
• Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed

Knowledge and Experience

•   master’s or bachelor’s degree in computer science. With 5+ years of experience with above skill set

This role offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week.
