Job description : Sr. Network Engineer Network & Communications Network Engineer Hyderabad/Mumbai - Participate in network projects planning and execution. - Work closely with project managers, architects, and other team members to develop project plans, define deliverables and timelines, and allocate resources effectively. - Collaborate with network architects and project stakeholders to understand requirements, translate them into technical designs, and develop scalable and resilient network architectures. - Ensure comprehensive documentation throughout the project lifecycle. - Create detailed network designs, configurations, and procedures, and maintain accurate records of changes and updates. - Actively participate in knowledge sharing sessions, providing guidance, and mentoring to junior team members, and promoting best practices within the team. - Engage in effective communication and collaboration with project stakeholders. - Provide regular updates on project progress, address technical concerns, and ensure alignment with project objectives. - Responsible for implementing robust network security measures within projects. - Design and implement security policies, access controls, and encryption mechanisms to protect network infrastructure and data. - Collaborate with vendors, OEMs and other teams, such as system administrators and application developers, to ensure seamless integration of network projects. - Support in RFP/RFQ activities - Prepare HLD & LLD, generate configuration template for network changes, and harden network devices. - Vendor/OEM coordination for POC's and project implementation - Analyze network traffic patterns, conduct capacity planning, and fine-tune network configurations to improve performance and ensure efficient utilization of network resources. - Prepare SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for projects, operating teams with escalation framework. Requirements : B.E/ B.Tech, M.Tech/MCA (Computer/IT)/B.Sc (Computers) 1) B.E/B.Tech, M.Tech/MCA (Computer/IT) with 7 plus years or B.Sc (Computers) with 8 plus years of working experience on large complex enterprise networks. Mandatory : - Must have hands-on experience in protocols/technologies like MPLS (traffic engineering, L2/L3 VPN), BGP- 4/MP-BGP, ISIS, OSPF/OSPFv3, EIGRP, RSVP, LDP, VXLAN, Network Access Control, 802.1x, VPN. - Experience in Software Defined Network (SDN) & SD-WAN. - Extensive experience leading and managing complex internetworking solutions from design to implementation. - Experience of multi-vendor / multi-service IP networks, multi-vendor equipment and network protocols. - Experience in Solution Design and Architecture assessment of large networks - Experience on network management tools like Cisco ISE, DNAC. - Must have handled minimum 15 members of team size. - Experience in Security devices Desirable : - Experience in dealing with banks / financial institutions /NBFCs networks Added advantage :- CCNP - Mandatory, CCIE - Desirable ITIL Foundation - Desirable - Understanding of OSI model and TCP/IP protocol (IPv4 & IPv6) - Mandatory - Knowledge on network capture / analysis tools like Wireshark - Mandatory - Knowledge in Network Management and Monitoring tools such as Solarwinds. - Mandatory - Knowledge of Software Defined Network (SDN) & SD-WAN. - Mandatory - Knowledge on Network & Security devices like firewalls, WAFs, L3 & L2 switches, LBs - Mandatory - MS Office & MS Visio - Mandatory - Knowledge of Network Security devices - Added advantage - Knowledge on Telecom domain - Added advantage - Routing & Switching - Mandatory - Excellent skills on Software Defined Network (SDN) & SD-WAN - Mandatory - MPLS Technology - Mandatory - VPN technologies - Mandatory - Network monitoring and management tools - Mandatory - Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills along with quick learner. - Mandatory - Network Security - Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Proxy - Mandatory (ref:hirist.tech)
