Job Description :Position : Software Development Lead Location : Lusaka, ZMContract : 2 YearsReporting Manager : Head - Software Solutions. Since its inception is 2007 the group has grown to be Zambia's leading technology service provider offering a range of solutions including client computing and enterprise business solutions with long standing relationships with leading OEM manufacturers across the ICT sector. The company owns and operates Zambia's first Tier III carrier neutral data offering colocation services, infrastructure as a service and software as service. The company also owns and operates the Swish Pay platform enabling digital payments from consumer to merchant through its integrations with Visa, MasterCard and Mobile Money platforms. The group continues to innovate in launching new products to the Zambian market and is therefore looking to grow our team! The position of a Software Development Lead is a role within the company Group assuming team leadership and ownership of the functional aspects of the Business Unit. The position requires an individual who is a good communicator and is a team-player able to build on team skill-set. Responsibilities : - Build and manage server environment including operating systems IIS and other services on Windows and Linux platforms - Own the product development lifecycle working with other members of the development team to ensure error free code and product build with user-friendly, stable interfaces- Lead the optimization of various interfacing products including ensuring optimized API's and frameworks. - Manage the team's calendar, schedules and project timelines in accordance with agreed deliverables and product quality. - Lead the team in research & development pertaining to new technologies, working models and improved work streams to deliver improved, stable and customer centric products or services. - Be responsible for the entire design, build, and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and reliable code.- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of all applications built and managed by the team. - Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications - Test and deploy applications and systems including QA, testing and delivery. - Be responsible for timely preparation of product documentation including technical specifications, functional features, code and test plans. Required Skills & Experience :- Must poses a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field. - Minimum of 5 Years of Software Development domain experience. - Must poses extensive knowledge in .NET and JavaScript - Must poses strong experience in managing containers, containers orchestration software, cloud platforms- Must be proficient with technologies such as Microservices, REST APIs , WEB APIs- Must posses basic understanding of front end development, coding and UI development. - Must be a team player and have a minimum of 2 years in team leadership experience. - Experience with automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools like Jenkins, Puppeteer, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or any other automation framework. - Strong experience with Microservices architecture and design. - Knowledge and expertise of leading development Fintech applications such as payment systems, is a strong advantange. - Experience with integrated development environments (eg: Eclipse, Visual Studio Code) - Experience with Source control management (eg Git): to enable teams to work together to manage changes to source code - Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.Skills :- .NET and JavaScript, Microservices, REST APIs, WEB APIs- 2 years in team leadership experience- Automating infrastructure, testing, and deployments using tools (ref:hirist.tech)
